There's no way to "explain away," that this cartoon is clearly meant to compare President Obama with the chimpazee who went on a rampage in Connecticut this week and nearly killed a woman.
True, the economy is the talk of the nation, however, anyone who knows anything about this country's history knows that African Americans have too often been compared to monkeys, gorillas, chimpanzees and the like.
If this cartoon does not offend you - well, this is a free country. However, if it offends you, as it does me, I would suggest you write to the Editor of the New York Post and let its editors know how you feel.
