TO COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTORS IN DIVERSE GENRES
Recognizing the Gifted & Giving During 2nd
Annual Celebration

SAN
FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA--Oakland-based organization In The Spirit will
host its second annual awards celebration in honor of civic, community,
academic, entertainment, healthcare, media, ministerial and sports leaders
who work, reside in, or are otherwise associated with the San Francisco Bay
Area. "In the Spirit" Awards are meant to uplift, celebrate and honor community
leaders--individuals who are high achievers; those who positively influence
and impact the community; and people who are passionately gifted and
selflessly giving. "In The Spirit" Award recipients are selected by
In The Spirit committee members from among nominees submitted
by the general Bay Area public.
"We are excited about the acknowledgement and
support that "In The Spirit" is receiving for
its second annual awards program," said "In
The Spirit" founder Tally Knott. "It is an
honor to recognize individuals who make noteworthy contributions (often
quietly) in our community."

honorees and invited guests are CDA
Consulting Group president Cathy Adams;
award-winning Allen Temple Baptist Church
Male Chorus; former Golden State
Warriors player and head coach Alvin "Al" Attles; veteran
multi-award-winning television journalist Belva
Davis; Grammy Award-winning
gospel and R&B musician, composer, and arranger Edwin Hawkins; Faith Fellowship
Foursquare Church Senior Pastor Gary Mortara; San Francisco Bay Area Young
Scholars Program founder and Executive Director Jacqueline
Rushing; "Black
Renaissance" host Dr. Brenda Wade; Grammy and Emmy Award-winning producer, musician and
recording artist
Narada Michael Walden, and more.
"Bay Area Vista" host & executive
producer and Edwards Unlimited President & CEO
Janice Edwards and veteran radio
personality Nick Harper to co-host the evening's festivities.
Expect dynamic and uplifting performances by individual gospel and
secular artists, and choirs.
